Police officers spent the morning searching for bullets in northeast Edmonton after someone opened fire outside the Abbotsfield Recreation Centre.
Several shell casings littered the ground around the hall after a man allegedly pulled out a handgun and started firing shots across the street from the hall at about 2:30 a.m at 119th Avenue and 32nd Street.
Police believe the man was retaliating after he was refused entrance into a birthday party.
No one was injured in the shooting, but one vehicle suffered minor damage after being grazed by a bullet.
Police are investigating the incident.
