Occupational Health and Safety is investigating, after a man was killed over the weekend while on a worksite north of Fort McMurray.

Officials say the 29-year-old man was doing maintenance work on a gravel sorter Sunday morning.

It's believed a large chain broke, and then hit the man – killing him.

OHS officials told CTV News the worker had been employed by a company called ‘Hammerstone Corporation' when the incident occurred.
