Emergency crews scrambled to the scene, Monday morning, after part of a building collapsed in west Edmonton.

According to the fire department, two crews remained at the site as of noon.

Officials say they responded to what was originally thought to be a large structure collapse at GD Liquidators. It's now confirmed that only a corner of the building was damaged on the southeast side.

"Nobody was in the area at the time and it looked like just one corner of the building fell in." said Fire Cpt. Mark Wakefield. "They've got an engineer responding to try to figure out what happened and everybody's been ordered out of the building."

There are no reports of injuries.
