Security footage of a bizarre, dramatic crash where a pickup smashed through a Tim Horton's in Taber, Alberta has been released.

The video shows the series of events that unfolded just before midnight on March 9.

At the beginning of the video, a man parks a pickup truck outside the coffee shop and goes inside.

Moments later, an oil rig truck slams into the back of the pickup, ramming it into the restaurant.

As a result of the crash, Jake Krahn, 27, has been charged with stealing the truck and using it to push his own truck into the shop – in addition to charges for dangerous and impaired driving.

His brother Heinrich Krahn, 26, has been charged with obstruction, and public mischief.
