Firefighters were kept busy overnight as two different fires were started within minutes of each other- and only a few blocks from one another.

The fires were started in south Edmonton in the area of 104th A St. and 48th Ave. around 4 a.m.

Police, who are now investigating the incidents as arson, say four vehicles were scorched while in a parking garage. About 20-minutes earlier, a nearby truck was set on fire.

The blaze destroyed the vehicles. Damages are pegged at $75,000.
