A 56-year-old man has been charged with the second-degree murder of 70-year-old Robert Anderson, whose body was found inside an Edmonton apartment back in late May.
Gordon Shaw, 56, of no fixed address, was arrested in Port Alberni, B.C. on Friday.
On May 31st, officers found Anderson's body in a north-end apartment. The death was deemed a homicide.
Police were contacted after neighbours found the man deceased in his suite. Police said neighbours were concerned when they had not seen or heard from him for several days.
The accused made a brief appearance in Port Alberni Monday and is set to be transferred to Edmonton.
