RCMP have been investigating after a man's body was found on the side of a road just south of Mundare last week. Officers now believe the victim, who has been identified as 53-year-old Edmonton native Ronald Max Hillinger, was murdered.
Police said the frozen body was discovered by a passerby around 7:30 a.m. last Monday near Township Road 522.
RCMP have not released the manner of death as their investigation is ongoing.
Investigators are interested in speaking to anyone who may have been in the area of Range Road 172 and Township Road 522 in the County of Lamont prior to the morning of February 1st.
