Strathcona County RCMP are searching for two missing males in connection to a suspicious death. A man's body was found in the burned remains of a garage located south of Township Road 524 on Range Road 213 on Dec. 19th.

Investigators say the fire was contained to a detached garage and was extinguished by Strathcona County Emergency Services.

During the police investigation, officers located the body of an adult in the burned remains of the garage. An autopsy has determined the gender of the body to be an adult male. The identity of the body has yet to be determined, and the cause of death has not been released.

Now, police are attempting to locate two missing people who may be associated with the property where the fire occurred.

"Notwithstanding the investigation with the body and the fire. Two adult men who have responsibilities haven't been heard from in some time is also suspicious in nature, so at this point we're trying to see if there's a connection between the two," said Const. Wally Henry with Strathcona County RCMP.

Police say Dino Richard Kaz, 42, of Edmonton, was last seen on Saturday, Dec. 18th in the Edmonton area. Kaz is believed to have frequented the rural property and his whereabouts are unknown.

The second person, Brent Abbott, 36, of Saskatoon, has also been reported missing and was also last seen in the Edmonton area on Friday Dec. 17th in the evening.

Investigators say the two men know each other.

A green 2000 Ford F-150 pickup with a regular cab and long box with front end damage on the passenger side has been linked to the two men.

The vehicle is registered to Kaz and bears the Saskatchewan licence plate 207- HTR, which is registered to Abbott.

If anyone has any information on the whereabouts of these two individuals or this incident, they are encouraged to contact the Strathcona County RCMP at 780-467-7741 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
