An Alberta Health Services paramedic was killed Monday morning in a highway crash involving an ambulance and a truck near McLennan, Alta.
RCMP said a trailer hauling empty propane tanks became unhitched from a truck and slammed into an ambulance coming from the other direction on Highway 2.
The paramedic died at the scene.
Another EMS staff member, a patient and a family member in the ambulance were taken to hospital in stable condition.
