RCMP say a 5-year-old girl was killed in a snowmobile crash close to Ardrossan Sunday afternoon.
Mounties say the girl was out on a snowmobile with her father when he lost control and hit a tree.
Both the father and child were thrown from the snowmobile.
The child died on scene and her father was sent to hospital in serious condition.
