Edmonton police have released the name and photo of a 22-year-old man arrested in relation to four recent sexual assaults.

Norman Washington Walters is charged with sexual assault, sexual assault with a weapon, possession of an offensive weapon dangerous to the public, unlawful confinement, robbery and theft over $5,000.

Police said that in all four assaults, the victim and suspect met either on a social networking site or a dating website. EPS said the suspect specifically groomed himself to lure women.

Police said they are releasing the man's photo because they believe there may be other victims who have not yet come forward.

"The purpose of releasing the photograph is to assist in determining if there are other people who have been victimized by this individual. Any additional people who have been victimized by this person are encouraged to contact the Edmonton Police Service,"said Staff Sgt. Brian Readman of the Sexual Assault Unit.

Investigators said after arranging a meeting, the victims were lured to a remote area, allegedly threatened with a weapon and sexually assaulted.

Police said all of the incidents occurred in the Mill Woods area. One woman was attacked in her home and required treatment at hospital. The other three women were attacked in nearby parks.

On Monday, police tracked down the suspect at an address where they believed he was residing. Officers tried to arrest him but he managed to escape.

Police eventually arrested the suspect near 44 Avenue and 77 Street just before noon Tuesday.

Police confirmed that the man is not originally a resident of Edmonton and also has an immigration warrant for his arrest.
