A homeless Calgary man appears to have froze to death in a winter storm that ripped through Calgary over the weekend.

Police said the man's body was found Sunday morning by a person out walking a dog.

An autopsy has not yet been performed to confirm the cause of death, but police said foul play is not suspected.

Tim Richter, executive director of the Calgary Homeless Foundation, said he can't help but feel the death is the result of `collective neglect.'

Richter said the man was left to fend for himself and froze to death as a result.
